兒童 | 第8屆中國設計學青年論壇征稿

1912年,民國政府教育總長蔡元培(1912年7月辭職)邀請魯迅就任教育部社會教育司第一科科長(1912年8月任教育部僉事),同年,魯迅開始籌備全國兒童藝術展覽會。1914年4月21日,在魯迅的積極籌劃下,中國近代第一個全國兒童藝術展覽會在北京開幕,展期整整一個月,1914年5月20日閉幕。教育部與兒童在藝術教育層面的互動就此展開。

時間、空間、文化

1919年4月30日,五四運動前夕,美國著名教育家杜威(John Dewey,1859-1952)應邀來華講學,歷時兩年兩個月。其中,“兒童本位論”引起中國知識分子的高度關注,可以視為從理論上系統回應了魯迅、周作人此前(1912-1914年間)發表的一系列兒童研究專文。
“兒童本位論”的實質是“兒童中心主義”,是對“縮小的成人”的反思:“大抵在(兒童)文學上有兩種不同的錯誤:一是太教育的,即偏于教育;一是太藝術的,那偏于玄美。教育家的主張多屬于前者,詩人多屬于后者。其實兩者都不對,因為他們都不承認兒童的世界?!保ㄖ茏魅?,《關于兒童的書》,1923)
100年過去,今天的中外研究者如何理解“兒童本位”?物質文化的創造者如何理解“兒童的世界”?未來的研究者、物質文化的創造者又將面對什么樣的兒童,什么樣的世界?

以此為思考前提,南京藝術學院將以“兒童”為主題,于11月3日-11月4日舉辦第8屆中國設計學青年論壇,誠邀志同道合的研究者、教育者、設計師、企業家通過“時間”、“空間”、“文化”三個緯度展開對兒童情感、認知、行為、藝術、科學、游戲、歷史、未來等話題的探討。

請有意向參會的院校、機構或個人,于10月10日之前將會議論文及作者簡介(姓名、年齡、單位、職務職稱、研究方向、近照)發至文末信箱,論文字數在6000至15000之間為宜。

論文格式

1. 完整的中文及英文標題,中文及英文摘要、中文及英文關鍵詞,正文,參考文獻。
2. 中文注釋的格式統一為:作者:《書名》,地名:出版社名,出版年份,頁碼。
如:杜維運:《史學方法論》,北京:北京大學出版社,2006年版,第159頁。
3. 英文注釋的格式統一為:作者,書名,版本,地名:出版社名,出版年份,頁碼。

Children: The 8th Chinese Design Study Forum of Young Scholar
Contribution Invited

On April 21st of 1914, the first Children’s Arts Exhibition of China was held in Beijing under active planning by Lu Xun, the chief director of social education sector in ministry of education. The exhibition had lasted for a month before its closing on May 20th, 1914. This event marks the very beginning of interaction between ministry of education and artistic education of Children.

On April 30th, 1919, just before ‘The May the 4th Movement’, American educator John Dewey (1859-1952) came to China beginning his 2 years and 2 months visiting. His child-centered education theory was highly attracting to many Chinese intellectuals. This theory could be taken as a theoretical response to serials of research papers published by Lu Xun and Zhou Zuoren during 1912-1914.

With its essence of Child-Centralism, this theory is a kind of reflection on the idea of taking children as ‘reduced adults ’:

2 mistakes were usually found in (children’s) literature: one focused too much on pedagogy, the other too artistic, that is to say, too much about abstract aesthetics. The former one finds much of its supporter from educators, and poets usually stand for the later one. Without recognizing the existence of a world which only belongs to children, neither of them could be called successful. (Zhou Zuoren, Books on Children, 1923)

A century has passed since then on. Today, how do researchers from all over the world understand ‘child-centered’? How do creators of material culture understand ‘children’s world’? And what kind of Children and world will be encountered by us in future?

Based on these questions, the 8th Chinese Design Study Forum of Young Scholars will be held by Nanjing University of the Arts with its theme of ‘Children’, from November 3rd to November 4th. We sincerely invite all related specialists including researchers, educators, designers and entrepreneurs to join us, discussing emotion, recognition, activity, art, science games, history, future……etc. of children through dimensions of Time, Space and Culture.

Any academy, institute or person who is intended to attend the meeting should send an academic paper (6000-15000 words) with a brief introduction (name, age, organization, position, research direction, a photo) to required email address.

Format requirements
1. Complete Title, Abstract, Key Words in Chinese and English. Full article with reference.
